Transparency in a gif set as background is rendered as black.
In ff 1.0.4/moz 1.7.8 and other browsers it is rendered as white.

Visit http://www.sitic.se/
Download testcase.
Actual Results:  
Black text on black background.

Expected Results:  
Black text on white background.

That is odd. I can reproduce on both mozilla and firefox trunk with clean profiles.
My distribution is Debian sarge.

This seems to be very system dependant.

Sounds like an X bug....  tor, weren't you looking at something like this at
some point?
The testcase given doesn't show the problem for me, but another testcase does,
so I'm attaching it. Here's the image first.

This should be self-explanatory; you get a black colour where you should have
GIF transparency.

Though note that if you need a different image you're probably seeing a
different bug.
