I have two computers running windows XP and firefox 1.04. I have a VPN
connection to my work network on both computers. If there is a delay in
uploading any webpage, firefox tries to open the VPN connection and freezes the
internet link. This does not happen on either computer if I run internet explorer.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Make a desktop VPN connection but do not open the connection
2.Open firefox
3.Search web, sooner or later forefox will try to open the VPN connection when
ther is a delay in accessing a webpage

Expected Results:
Nothing, the webpage should open when the feed is completed. I don't know why
firefox tries to co-opt the VPN connection, it shouldn't.

highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
