I think I found this bug from some other bug. Could this be what causes
Thunderbird to not display folder contents until you click back and forth on
another folder a few times? If so, it should be reopened. Thanks.
This one still seems to be present in Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1;
en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050615 Firefox/1.0+ ID:2005061506

I can't seem to get it to choose a tab unless I "slide it" a little (I guess it
considers that moving the tab).

Still seeing this with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b4)
Gecko/20050725 Firefox/1.0+

I am wondering if installing and uninstalling TabX had anything to do with it.
