Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)
Build Identifier:

When initially launching Thunderbird, the chrome://messenger/locale/start.html
page is displayed in the message-viewing window. This page contains various
links to get information on various features of Thunderbird. When one clicks
on such a link, the appropriate page is loaded into the browser, and
subsequently a <META HTTP-EQUIV=REFRESH... redirect is attempted. The URL
which shows up in the address bar after this redirect is attempted
is "http://kb.mozillazine.org/Junk_Mail_Controls<NOSCRIPT><META%20HTTP-
EQUIV=REFRESH%20CONTENT=", and naturally, this is treated as a "Bad title" by
the mozillazine site.

This problem seems only to occur with internet explorer (I'm using ver
6.0.2800.1006), but as a large number of first time users may likely be still
using internet explorer, I think this is a critical issue to resolve in order
for users to have confidence that the product is not flawed and to avoid
thinking that documentation is unavailable for it.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set your default web-browser to IE
2. Run Thunderbird, and click on the "Adaptive Junk Mail Controls" link which
initially appears.

Actual Results:
http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/junkmail.html loads and is
redirected to "http://kb.mozillazine.org/Junk_Mail_Controls<NOSCRIPT><META%
20HTTP-EQUIV=REFRESH%20CONTENT=" which causes the desired page not to show up.

Expected Results:
http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/junkmail.html should have
redirected to "http://kb.mozillazine.org/Junk_Mail_Controls", which is the
desired target page.
