User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050519 Firefox/1.0+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050519 Firefox/1.0+ 1] I would love an ehancement: Check for Updates to have an pop-down choice for Major Builds or Nightlys. 2] Sort Builds by OS and put into folder 3] Why do we have Alpha builds for download to general public? 4] Why need a Firefox folder in c:\Windows\Application Data\FireFox? Why not just c:\windows\application data\mozilla\firefox ? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. See Search for Updates in the software: Tools>Options>Advanced>Update Tab 2. See http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/ 3. See the Distribution Folders on the Main Server. 4. See the directory structure in c:\windows\application data Actual Results: Need to get every Monday or Friday Need to read on types on filenames. Alphas are in-house use only--don't install over prior build files in Default Folder in c:\Program Files\Firefox? Expected Results: No duplicate Firefox folders
Reporter: Please file one bug per issue in the future. The trunk builds are available to the public for the obvious reason that they are useful for testing and that some people use them for their normal browsing.

This bug is invalid because we accept only one issue / bug report and we also don't answering questions in bugzilla. 1) is invalid because Nightlys will not get an update. They are just test builds. The update feature is only supported for Release builds. 2) The directory structure is sorted by date and build hour and this is needed for regression testing. 3) for developers and they are pre-alphas. They are untested automatic builds which can for exmplae delete all your user data if something wents wrong 4) dunno, you can file a new bug for that if you add more informations what this directory contains and AFTER you searched for existing bugs -> invalid
