Upon opening Thunderbird 1.0.2, display resolution changes to larger than large.
When program closes, display resolutions returns to configured system size.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.click on Thunderbird desktop shortcut
2.
3.

Actual Results:
1. Screen goes blank.
2. Thunderbird begins to open.
3. Resolution of desktop goes to very very large.
4. Thunderbird opens and large display appears for TB and all open programs.

Expected Results:
Opened normally in configured resolution.

Just installed Thuderbird last week (5/18/05) and it worked normally for the
remainder of the week (at work). This morning (Monday, 5/22/05) this bug appeared.
I just noticed that Thunderbird has a 'safe mode'. That is what is happening I
believe, the screen resolution resembles a safe mode session. Sorry for not
desribing it as this earlier. I uninstalled TB and reinstalled, no change.
I've been using Thunderbird for many months. This resolution problem started
about two days ago. I'd had no problems prior to this.

The problem is in the shortcut settings. Just change the compatability settings
and remove the options to run the program in 640x480 at 256 colors.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
