User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050523 Firefox/1.0+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050523 Firefox/1.0+ When opening a link which has a https://... url in a new tab, the url is displayed correctly with https, but the location bar does not turn yellow, the lock does not show up, nor does 'View Page Info' -> 'Security' display the certificate nor the enryption. If opening the link in the same frame or in a new window, this problem does not show up. If the actual connection has been encrypted or not, i don't know. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to a page with a https:// link 2. Choose 'Open Link in New Tab' Actual Results: Location bar does not show that connection is encrypted nor the page is verified, although it is a https url (and, no, it does not show a broken lock as well!). Expected Results: Dislpay correct security information. I don't know if the transmission has been in fact encrpyted, or if this makes it possible to load pages in unencrypted mode! At least, the visual signs do not indicate encryption...
Confirming. No errors on javascript console. Possible fallout from bug 281988?
