295278 - I tried to install firefox 1.04 and now firefox won't start. It gives me a can't quit firefox.exe prompt

I tried to install an update from firefox 1.02 to 1.04. Now I can't open the 
firefox browser and everytime I try to install or uninstall firefox it tells 
me that firefox.exe is still running. No matter what I do I can't get it sto 
stop running. Help.

2. Won't let me because firefox.exe is still running

Please ask in the mozillazine.org Forums or on IRC for help.

BTW: open the task manager if FF still runs. Kill the process and use the
firefox safemode in the windows startmenu. If that works disable/uninstall the
extension that breaks FF.
