I use sunbird on a laptop

When I create an event on a calendar that have a remote server URL, then I loose
all my events after re-starting sunbird.

This is very annoying...

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. I create an event offline on a calendar that has a remote server url
2. I restart sunbird online with "reload remote calendars on startup" option

Actual Results:
I loose all what I did...

Expected Results:
Sunbird should deal with offline mode and first publish offline modifications
before reloading remote calendars

hope this will contribute : using sunbird in my firm : it is great !
Thank you for your work !
Pat,
Thanks for the bug report. This looks closely related to bug 290824.
Although they arrive at the problem through different means, the basic that
information created when offline/publishing not enabled is lost when it is
re-enabled because Sunbird/Calendar doesn't check to see if the data has been
modified locally. Can you please look at that bug and see whether or not you
consider them to be the same issue? (There's also bug 279514, but that one's
not very clear.)
(In reply to comment #1)
OK, I get the terrible English award on that one. What I meant to say is
"...The basic idea is that information is lost if it was created when
Sunbird/Calendar is offline or publishing is disabled. This is due to the fact
that the program doesn't check to see whether the file has been modified locally
before downloading new data." Sorry, I hope that's clearer.

If you agree that they're the same issue, please resolve this bug as a duplicate
of bug 290824.
