295500 - Using Firefox 1.0.4. When starting up it keeps loading, and times out - does't start up

I use the Mozille.exe short cut (just download 1.04 version). It says it is 
keep loading - sometimes 2-3 minutes. Then message says that it has timed out.  
The same thing happens when loading Google. It just times out after not 
loading. Other web sites do't load either.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Use Mozilla.exe short cut on Desktp
2.Watch the words loading ..............
3.Message comes up that says it has timed out

Actual Results:  
Nothing. Mozilla didnt start

Expected Results:  
The Mozilla page should have come up

I assume you mean, Firefox 1.0.4 and you therefore mean firefox.exe? Is it the
page that you are having problems loading, not the app itself?
Perhaps you have a firewall or proxy settings that are not configured properly
for Firefox?

Firefox 1.0.4 WORKSFORME in Windows XP SP2. I suggest you visit the forums at
www.mozillazine.org where you should be able to get some help because this is
not a program bug, most likely a configuration problem.

This is worksforme for thousands of Firefox users.
marking wfm (bugzilla is not for support and it looks like a firewall on your
system is blocking Firefox)
