User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050525 Camino/0.8+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050525 Camino/0.8+ When I enter this URL: https://www.servicecenter.unisys.com/customeraccess/ the page never successfully loads or installs the Java App. Nor do I get any error ID's or messages, just a black page. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.enter https://www.servicecenter.unisys.com/customeraccess/ into the URL address bar. 2. Watch. Actual Results: I get a black screen. Expected Results: It is supposed to install a Java application, the Perigrine Ticket system provided by Unisys.com. It's supposed to ask for security permission to install the app, (Always, grant, deny) and then install the App. Subsequent visits to this URL are supposed to launch the app.
Since it doesn't work in Firefox either, it's not a Camino problem. Since it also doesn't work in Safari, it's not a Mozilla.org problem either. Since it only works in IE, it's highly likely the vendor has coded the app in such a way that it only works in IE, either by poor coding practices or arbitrary design. You should complain to the vendor. (You might check with the author of the Java Embedding Plugin <http://javaplugin.sf.net> to see if this is something he can work around, but much like USPS postage app that is specifically hard-coded to only work with Safari, there's likely little he can do).
