This is a regression too, as it doesn't happen in Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 However, with 1.04 bug 215762 happens.

This crash happens with the URL the reporter provided - http://planet.mozilla.org/rss20.xml but does not happen with this URL - http://www.extensionsmirror.nl/peter6/firefoxfeed.xml

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050523 Firefox/1.0+ Tried at home using windows xp and hit bug 215762 but no crash. something is wrong that is making firefox crash on 2k and simply kills all the formatting on xp.
No crash using latest-trunk on XP, although I do come across the "autoscroll breaks prettyprint" bug.

Tried using firefox 1.0.4 at work (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4) and got behaviour similar to comment 30 on bug 215762. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=215762#c30

WFM Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.3a1pre) Gecko/20090913 Minefield/3.7a1pre. The fix for bug 215762 probably helped.
