Often Firefox, during opening, is loaded into memory but the window application
is not displayed on the screen. One workaround, even if not always solving the
problem, is to free memory from other (background or not) applications and try
again to open Firefox.

Reproducible: Sometimes
This works for me. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2)
Gecko/20050526 Firefox/1.0+.  Unless you have more we can't do allot with this
bug. You can try a new profile http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/profile
 or get support http://www.mozilla.org/support/
