User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050427 Camino/0.8.4
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050427 Camino/0.8.4

While I have Bugzilla open in one window I mouse up to the bookmark bar and
right click on a bookmark (www.stevestr.org). I get a tab saying Loading... but
no content appears in this new tab and the text at the bottom left of the screen
still shows the last page I was on. The content of the new tab window is empty.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have some single sites, not grouped tabs, in your browser bar at the top of
the screen.
2. Fire up Camino, go to the Bugzilla site.
3. While in a bug (perhaps reading this one?!?) mouse up to the browser bar and
right click one of your bookmarks.
4. Notice a new tab is opened saying Loading... but no content ever loads in
this tab.

Actual Results:
Got a blank tab window with Loading... at the top and no content appeared.

Expected Results:
Loaded the requested site as clicked on.
This only started with the current release. I am using the downloaded "master"
release and not a nightly.
Also: Using OS X.2.8
I can't reproduce this in 0.8.4 or 20050526 (0.8+) on 10.3.9. Ctrl-clicking on
a bookmark and choosing "Open in New Tab" always successfully loads the page in
the new tab.

Wevah, do you still have a 10.2.8 system you can check this on?

No, I don't. :/
I'm officially antiqued on this old beige G3/266 Powermac :) I can provide
screen shots but they don't really add to the narritave or the story much.
Steve, will you test with a fresh profile and also with a recent nightly?

And the bug did not occur in 0.8.3, right?
Can someone walk me through how to zap my profile?
This is a bug new to 0.8.4

Once I receive some assistance with zapping my profile I will try it with that
and let you know.
1. Quit Camino
2. Move the "Camino" folder from your user's ~/Library/Application Support
folder to another safe location
3. Resart Camino (this creates a fresh "Camino" folder/profile)

When you're done testing, move the "Camino" folder back (replacing the
newly-created one) to restore your normal settings, bookmarks, history, etc.
Unless the bug goes away with the fresh profile...
Just tried with a fresh profile. Same thing. When I switched to the second tab
to see what was loaded I notice both tabs show up selected. I closed the second
tab and Camino crashed but no Talkback was generated.
OK, I'll confirm based on your testing, but to be perfectly honest, I don't know
how many 10.2-only (or even 10.3-only) bugs are going to get fixed.

Based on wild conjecture and the fact that only three things are listed as
changes bet. 0.8.3 and 0.8.4, I wonder if it's the fix for tabbed browsing for
10.4 (bug 291355) that broke 10.2?

Steve, did you see a OS X Crash Reporter window when Camino crashed under the
fresh profile? Can you look in ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/Camino.crash.log to
see if there's an entry from the date/time you crashed, and, if so, copy that
entry into a text file and attach the text file to this bug?

Wait, was that test with 0.8.4 or a nightly?

What happens when you try with a nightly build (with a fresh profile and with
your existing one)?

Nighlty Build with Fresh Profile and things work A-OK. Using the 2005053008
(v0.9a1) edition.

Thanks for all your help with this.

I was also able to safely migrate my old profile back and nothing broke. Again,
thanks for all your help. I'll just stay with my nightly for now. ;)
