WHen I try to download a image file with '_' in the filename then the following
happen:
1. Says unknown file format if u try to open the file directly
2. If you download the file then it changes the filename to the text before '_'.
In short its using '_' as a some kind of delimiter

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a mail with an image file as an attachment having '_' in the filename
2. Click on the image
3. It asks open with, give jpegfile default
4. It says Unknown file format
5. Open the same image file and this time select the option of save
6. After it downloads the file on the desktop check its filename and the extension.
7. If the file name was abc_def.bmp, Firefox renames it to abc

Actual Results:
1. File didnt open
2. After saving the file extension was gone, and file name was changed

Expected Results:
1. Opened the file in the registered software
2. Downloaded the file without changing the filename

Sent myself an image in gmail having "_" in different parts of it's name and
there's no problem viewing or downloading the file. Would you please give
examples of the file names that gave you problems and the mail application you
were using?
As described in comment #1, this image shouldn't be viewable or downloadable.
Could it be that you are downloading such files from Yahoo? Yahoo shows "_" if
it reality the file contains a space " " and sends incorrect headers, see bug
252309.

Please provide an example remote URL with such a file name.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.
