Build Identifier:

Using a smart card containing my certificates digitally signed message and
encypher message with receivers public key, receiver opens message without
smart card in reader and reads security information, the message is reported
to be not signed, inserted receivers smart card and decrypted message
whereupon even signature information is shown and is correct.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Setup third party pkcs#11 module for smart card
2.Register certificates from smart card, trust issuer.
3.Send signed message
4.Receiver sends new message sign and encrypted
5.Originator attempts to open message with no card in the reader, click on key
icon and reads "Message security" to read "Message has no Digital Signature"
and "Message cannot be decrypted"

Expected Results:
Digital signature information should be presented regardless of the fact that
the message is encrypted
Prompt user to insert card and enter PIN to decrypt.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a

you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
