User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4
for example:
If u r searching for "chords", and are typing in (at a moderate speed) C - H -
O - R - D - S, and have finished entering "chor", FAYT searches not for the
STRING typed in so far ('chor'), but for the last ALPHABET ('r').
The time-interval before typing ends and a NEW search begins (when typing
resumes) seems to disappear.
Mostly, restarting firefox solves the problem.
Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:
1.enable FAYT
2.search for a multi-character string by typing it in.
3.
Actual Results:
individual characters (last one entered) were searched for even though the
complete string was entered in one go.
Expected Results:
all the characters typed in should have incrementally been taken as the
search-string.

Can't reproduce. How often is this reproducible, could you please provide more detailed instructions, and check if you can reproduce this on one of Deer Park releases. Thanks.

I've noticed that this behaviour appears only if you leave multiple instances of Firefox running for a *long* time - say a couple of days. and as recently as 1.0.6. As I said before, shutting down all instances, and restarting Firefox seems to fix this. I'll try the Deer Park release.

No, I haven't seen this in the newer releases. I have switched operating systems since, though. I use OS X now.
