It is not like Microsoft Explorer that shows properly what is printing. How come? I never had the time to report it. Here is another example where the Left margin is eating workds: http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_fbsplash Thank you, Spiro Reproducible: Always
CORRECTION: the Internet Link I provided eats the Left Margin when I actually print the page.
To clarify: is the issue that the Print Preview and the actual printout are different, or does the Preview show it correctly but it prints incorrectly?
To clarify my clarification question: I meant were Print and P.Preview the same or different? (Sorry for the bugspam... sometime I'll learn to read what I write.)

If you explain this further, I can change the summary to be more descriptive and it may be, for example, that this is a dupe, however, we cannot do anything without knowing more about the issue you are experiencing.
Good morning, Yes, the issue is that the Print Preview and the actual printout are different. Print Preview does not show correctly the output on the display as the actual Prints does. Format sometimes overlaps. Is this could help, I could take snapshots and also add the actual URL of what i am viewing. If so, also please tell me how to send attachments. Reguards, Spiro

testcase for the print preview problem at gentoo. the overflow:auto DIV on the second page shows up as a grey box on the first page. The page actually prints fine (at least to a file).

oh, and what you're seeing on 2, 3 and 5 (overlapping text) is probably bug 136990. I don't see what you see with #4. Anyway, none of them appear to be this bug, so if you think they're valid (please test with the new deer park test release) please file new bug(s).

Hi, just to better understand, what is that I should do to solve these issues? Are you suggesting me to take specific actions? If so, please list them as I did not get them. Is is perhaps that this is a bug? Thank you, Spiro

This bug is for the grey blocks on the first page. See testcase. For any other issues you've mentioned here, you should 1. search for already-filed bugs 2. test again with the alpha release: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/deerpark/alpha1/ 3. file new bugs if there aren't already bugs filed and exist in the alpha. but don't file a bug for your examples #2, #3 and #4. They're bug 136990.

Hi, It has been a while since I last heard anything about this issue. As far as I know, chatting with several people who run Gentoo and firefox, all experience this Print Previw issue. So, it is kind of unfortunate. :-( I tried to view the attached test case and I will attach two snapshots so you can see my issue. As far as I know, I do not know how to solve this issue. You referred me to another bug report # but I did not find any solution or instruction on how to solve this issue. In my openion, Print Preview either should work or not. There should not be any in between lines. I also have several other issues, like not being able to print header/footer at all on the print page, but I will file/research for a solution. So, I wish to ask the following: Provide a step by step solution, if any or just say we have to fix this issue. Here some info on my firefox: Last updated: Sat, 03 Sep 2005 18:43:29 GMT User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686 (x86_64); en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6 thank you, Spiro
