Hi, I regularly get this problem. I have blank emails in my inbox, however when
viewing the message source there is a message. Restarting thunderbird does not
correct problem. I am using Thunderbird 1.0.6, although it also happened with
1.0.2. Running Windows XP sp2. Most of the time the emails I receive from
investorweb.com.au have this problem, but the latest newsletter from codeproject
(6 sep 2005) also had this problem.

I should also have mentioned that this is a POP account and so the email is in
my local folders inbox. (If I move it to another folder it still has the same
problem, so it is not inbox specific.)

I've solved my problem (actually sometime ago); the blank emails were actually because I had 'View'->'Message Body As' set to plain text, and Thunderbird obviously is unable to convert some html message to plain text. My previous attachments should indicate what html causes the problem.
I think Thunderbird should at least display something, even if that is a message to say that the email couldn't be formatted as plain text.

No. That message includes a valid text/plain part, which is what you've told the program to display.
