Could it be possible to modify the search (command+f) command to look like the
search in firefox? Eg. instead of popping up a tiny window, where i enter the
string i want to search, only a small bar on the bottom of the screen would
open, and i would type my search string there. Also, would it be possible to add
a "search as you type" feature (also like in firefox)?

Reproducible: Always
Find-as-you-type is already available in the nightlies, although it may need to
be enabled in the user.js file. See the Camino site for details on that part of it.

The Firefox FIYT "search box" is a fair request, though I personally think it's
very contrary to the tenets of Mac OS.

cl
thanks for pointing out find-as-you-type. Activated it just now, using the
nightlies. Now, when i press "/" i can type my search, which is quite OK, coming
from vi. But i would still like to see the search in the way firefox does it.
Why do you say, that it is "contrary to the tenets of Mac OS?"
