Thunderbird offers the capability to show some details about every mail folder,
e.g. the number of unread and total messages in it.

When collapsing an account, one just sees the account name with no subfolders,
but one does not see the message counts any more.

I would suggest that when collasping an account one should see "combined" folder
stats, so that beside the account name there is the total number of unread
messages in all subfolders as well as the total number of all messages in this
account (see attachment)
