User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-DE; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050531 Firefox/1.0+ I had to start Dee Park 1 time with admin rights, before the Interface looks correctly when starting Deer Park Alpha as a normal User. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1. Setup Deer Park Alpha 1(without starting Deer Park) 2. Login as non Admin User 3. Start Deer Park 4. The Interface doesn't render like a correct Firefox Interface. 99% of die GUI was transparent, so you can see the Desktop, when Deer Park was opened in Full Screen. 5. restart Windows 6. login as normal user. 7. The same problem occurs. 8. logout 9. login as admin User 10. Start Deer Park. The GUI looks coorect. 11. logout 12. login as non admin User 13. Starting Deer Park, GUI looks correct.
This is a dup of the "won't launch from readonly DMG" and several other bugs. Pick one.
Whiteboard: DUPEME
I am seeing this on Linux Firefox trunk build 2005-06-02-05-trunk. (Linux build worked yesterday. Same account, same permissions ~not root~). I'm not seeing it on windows. However, I am using and account with admin privs there. The Mac .dmg issue has been around for a while. This is a regression from yesterday. On linux, todays build launches with completely tansparent migration wizard. Find the text for cancel button. Click to continue onto a transparent, unusable browser.

I'm also seeing this with 2005060205-trunk deer park bits on linux fc3 --in my case, I've got multiple profiles and it's the profile manager which appears transparent. as with Tracy, I didn't see this problem with the 2005060105-trunk build.

perhaps this regressed due to bug 295265.
1) Is this linux-only? 2) are these installers or tarballs? 3) can you attach a zip of chrome/*.manifest chrome/installed-chrome.txt ?
> 2) are these installers or tarballs? I saw this using the linux installer. for comparison, I grabbed the linux non-installer tarball, and this bug did not occur there. > 3) can you attach a zip of chrome/*.manifest chrome/installed-chrome.txt ? Tracy will attach those soon.

Attached file installed-chrome.txt
here's the installed-chrome.txt from the 2005060205-trunk linux installer build.
ARGH! this is a regression from bug 295235, which was supposed to be winows-only for the moment, but I now realize that the "gnomestripe" theme is not a complete theme, it is "winstripe with a few additions". Patch coming up shortly.
this chrome.zip file contains the following files (chrome/*.manifest): adding: app-chrome.manifest (deflated 89%) adding: browser.manifest (deflated 49%) adding: comm.manifest (deflated 45%) adding: en-US.manifest (deflated 78%) adding: pippki.manifest (deflated 17%) adding: reporter.manifest (deflated 53%) adding: toolkit.manifest (deflated 72%)
Anyone who's around, please review this.

Tested with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050603 Firefox/1.0+ I will try to distribute an Screenshot.

sendmail.to, that is a distinctly different bug than this: please file a new bug report rather than polluting this one
