User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 If you create a profile using firefox profile manager and you store the folders in someplace other than the default locations, everytime firefox is launched from within another program (i.e. Thunderbird, Outlook Express, etc...)it creates a default profile in the default location and you loose access to the profiel you want to use to start firefox. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.create a profile in firefox and put in a location other than the default (i.e. c:\firefox profile.) 2.open Thunderbird, or software of your choice, and click on a hyperlink, or in this specific case Mozilla Thunderbird Help Actual Results: Firefox opens with a default profile and asks if you care to import favorites or other bookmakrs. If you select no, then you get a generic default profile. You also loose access to the profile you previously created. Expected Results: open firefox with the location of the profile that was setup to begin with.

This is not a bug. Please see http://kb.mozillazine.org/About:config_entries#Profile..2A for more info. about changing the default location of your profiles folder. INVALID

I was actually wrong with my initial comment, but his WFM on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050531 Firefox/1.0+ though. Check in the main Firefox profiles folder for a file named profiles.ini. Your default profile should have the line "Default-1" in it.
