Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4
In Firefox v. 1.0.4, most recent d/l of firefox, I can no longer d/l or view a
JPEG attachment to an email. Firefox locks up when either view or d/l is
inaugurated. This lockup occurs in emails sent to me, and on ANY website I
visit, or any other email service I access. This lockup occurs on both PC's I
use, using XP with Serv. Pack 2. This problem began when I d/l'd and installed
v. 1.0.4.
There are no error messages. I DO NOT have this problem when using MS IE for
any of the jobs described above.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.click on "download"
2.click on "save" or "view"
3.click on file window "save" in whatever directory is being used to save
Actual Results:
Firefox locks up.
Expected Results:
d/l'd the JPEG to the directory selected or presented a view of the JPEG if
"view" was selected.

close firefox
go to windows start menu -> Firefox -> safemode
see if it still crashes if started up in safemode
if not, one of your extensions is the cause.
disable them one by one to find out which is the bad one and uninstall it.
