2. click "Retention Policy" tab
3. check "Use server defaults"

"messages" and "days" was not grayout.

The folder properties code is shared between SeaMonkey and Thunderbird.

In case of a radiogroup the disabled attribute only disables the radio buttons and not any other elements that may also be present (e.g. label).
