User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.7) Gecko/20050414 Firefox/1.0.3
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.7) Gecko/20050414 Firefox/1.0.3

Tried running the virus service on a Win XP machine with firefox 1.0.3, the site
did not find the correct plugin/extension, then offered a download for that
extension. I downloaded installer and ran, and it looked for the netscape
installation, so I pointed it at firefox directory, and the installer would not
run, saying it needed a netscape install.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Attempt to use to house call scan, should launch a java applet
2. Wait for it to prompt for the extension install
3.

Actual Results:
The site offered a download and the install did not work as described in the details

Expected Results:
Should have run in the browser, IE works fine after installing the TrendMicro
extension

This bug is INVALID.
As you may see in that same page:
Troubleshooting:
   1. To use HouseCall, you will need either
          * Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 4.0 or above) or
          * Netscape Navigator (version 3.01 or above).
A plugin for Firefox apparently hasn't been designed and the site wrongfully
detectes the browser as if it was Netscape. If you want to use this software
with Firefox you'll have to contact the site owner and inform him/her that this
site is not Firefox compatible.
I concur. This is not a Firefox issue but one relating to the specific functions
of that site. I'd contact Trend Micro, reminding them that Firefox usage is
increasing in popularity worldwide and that the ability to use their utility in
Firefox would be greatly appreciated.
