From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; N; Win98; en-US) Mozilla/m14 BuildID: 2000022808 If I continue to open some of the links in new windows Mozilla crashes after some minutes. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. open http://www.heise.de/newsticker/ 2. right-click on some news-links in the middle and open them in new windows 3. switch back to the main window while the new windows still "download" the HTMLpage 4. open/read/close new windows for some minutes, there should at least be tree windows opened at the same time. Actual Results: After 2 - 10 minutes of opening/closing browser windows Mozilla crashes. The crash results in a message (in your preferred language): MOZILLA verursachte einen Fehler durch eine ungültige Seite in Modul GKGFXWIN.DLL bei 0167:60a33757. Register: EAX=00000000 CS=0167 EIP=60a33757 EFLGS=00010246 EBX=80000000 SS=016f ESP=0068faa0 EBP=0068faf8 ECX=0068fae8 DS=016f ESI=00000000 FS=32af EDX=0068fae8 ES=016f EDI=01a86700 GS=0000 Bytes bei CS:EIP: 8b 08 ff 51 28 c1 e8 1f f6 d0 a8 01 74 3b 39 75 Stapelwerte: 00000000 0068fae8 01eddb50 01a868b0 00000001 7800cc8c 60a42678 01eda1c0 00000000 60a42678 01eda1c0 00000000 0068fbb8 7800ef03 7802e248 01eda2c0 Once it crashed and diplayed "module <unknown>" Note 1: Reproduced on five different computers in different evironments (private, mini-LAN, university, company) - AMD K6, 64 MB RAM, Win98 - AMD K6/2, 64 MB RAM, Win98 SE - Pentium, 32 MB RAM, Win95 original - Pentium II, 64 MB RAM, Win98 - AMD K5, 32 MB RAM, Win95 OSR 2 (always german version of OS) Note 2: Crash could also be reproduced with Netscape 4.6/4.61/4.7!
Still testing with some modified versions of the mentioned HTML-pages...
Using Teleport I tried some of the pages from http://www.heise.de/newsticker/ locally (file:///) and Mozilla still crashes after some minutes. The HTML-files use lots of tables. May be this is similar to Bug 22749?
Got it. It takes a little while, but it will reproduce. Marking as NEW. What component should this be in?
