The blue line is a focus ring, which was put in by bug 280590. The screenshot doesn't look like the default tab height. Have you modified the tab height in userChrome.css or do you have a tab browser extension installed?

Have you modified the tab height in > userChrome.css or do you have a tab browser extension installed? Yes, the screenshot is taken when I use a modified userChrome.css (Its actually your work). But I reproduced the focus rings with a fresh profile as well. So this focus ring is intended? Cause in my opinion it dont look right! Neither Camino or Safari have something like this...

Camino will (in 1.0), Safari already has. Anyway, yes this is intended.

(In reply to comment #6) > (FYI, try pressing tab in safari's search bar) Verified! But my grief against this is that the focus rings appear when clicking a tab with the mouse pointer. Not using the Tab button... Or is it user option to turn the feature off?

I think that this issue about focusing tabs that are clicked on is discussed in bug 262253
