Today trunk looks bad on Linux. I downloaded
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050605 Firefox/1.0+

and most of UI images are not displayed and address bar is broken.

same on build from 03.06.2005
works OK on Deer Park alpha1
Ok. Seems to be a new visualisation of an old bug.

It's the "must run as a root at least once" bug. Previously it displayed a black
screen, now it displays something like in attachment from this bug.

Right click on a toolbar > Customize

What is "Show:" set to? Icons? or just Text?
icons. As I said. I have to run firefox as root once, and then everything is
fine also on user accounts.
*** Bug 296210 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Summary: Firefox UI messed → Firefox UI messed (need to run as root once)
doesn't seem to be bug 163524 since my components/ directory has +x permission
for all users.
Seems to be a dupe of bug 295439. I'm marking there (and no, that bug is not
Alpha1, it's a nightly). Reporter, if you feel this was done in error, please
REOPEN.
