Build ID: 2005-06-05-05, Windows XP Seamonkey trunk. Not a regression of or fixed by bug 209330. Bug exists before and after that landing. Summary: Status bar isn't cleared going back to a previously loaded site. This isn't a regression, it also happens in Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 Steps to Reproduce: 1. Load http://www.netscape.com 2. Click "News" 3. Click the browser's "Back" button Actual Results: "Transferring data from channels.netscape.com" appears in the Status bar. Expected Results: The Status bar should remain cleared. NOTE: if you click Reload it will clear _always_.

Summary: Status bar isn't cleared going back to a previously loaded site. → Status bar isn't cleared going back to a previously-loaded site.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win95; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051109 SeaMonkey/1.0b For me, after pressing Back, it doesn't display "Transferring data from...", but displays the URL of the link I had clicked to go to the page I got back from.
Disregard my last comment, as it's another bug. Since the bug filer said that this happened in Gecko 1.7 too, bfcache isn't involved in this, while the bug I noted is just similar.
