User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 No file can be openend, if the path to file includes an umlaut like 'ä' (ä), 'ü' (ü), 'ö' (ö) or 'ß' (ß). An error is displayed, that the path cannot be found. The umlaut will be replaced by some html or unicode-value (I don't know, what this is) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. create a path including an umlaut. Winusers create C:/Täst/ 2. create a simple html-file in this location - like test.html 3. try opening the file with firefox directly Actual Results: An error is displayed, that the path cannot be found. The umlaut will be replaced by some html or unicode-value (I don't know, what this is) Expected Results: The page should be opened :P

Please search before you file a bug. A simple search with umlaut in the Firefox prodicts and you will find bug 263570 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 263570 ***
