User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4

After logging in to the site, there is a high probability that simple navigation
around this site will cause the browser to crash, sometimes without invoking the
Quality Agent (despite being enabled). On a few occasions, the post-login page,
which shows one's accounts etc. is drawn, immediately followed by the crash.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to the URL above
2. Login with Netbank credentials (reproducer will need to be a customer...)
3. List transactions for an account, and navigate to "Next" pages (for older
transactions. Often a crash is only a few clicks away.

Actual Results:
Browser crashes.
May invoke the Quality Feedback Agent

Expected Results:
Reproduced the list of account transactions.

When the browser doesn't crash, the page seems to be rendered correctly.

Problem was apparent in Firefox 1.0PR for Linux.

The page seems to render correctly, and as yet I have not observed a crash with
the Windows XP Firefox 1.0.2 and 1.0.4.
Can you provide a Talkback ID from the Crash ?
And please try a nightly developer build or the deer park Alpha because FF1.0.4
is to old to report Gecko bugs. The Gecko in FF1.0.X is over 12 months old.
With Firefox 1.0.4, it crashed again this morning, and I managed to get an
Incident ID - TB6473926G

I tried deer park as requested, out of the box, and did not observe the bug.

I then installed the Java plugin (some java is on the site), and the browser
crashed. See Incident ID - TB6474866Y.
I have JDK 1.4.2 installed and using the plugin
/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2/jre/plugin/i386/ns610-gcc32/libjavaplugin_oji.so reached
via symlink from the firefox plugin directory.

I'll download jre 1.5 tonight (circa 1000 UTC) and try it out.

TB6473926G is a crash in the Java plugin itzself and not Firefox/Mozilla.
I gave Firefox 1.0.4 a good workout with the Java 1.5 plugin
(/usr/java/jre/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so) and have not yet
experienced a crash - most likely the problem is fixed.

I suggest that if the problem is a Firefox-1 + JRE1.4.2 plugin interaction
issue, the bug should be reclassified as such and potentially fixed, or that a
warning is generated to inform the user to upgrade (ie. indicate that a newer
plugin is available).

If the problem is truly a JRE1.4.2 bug, then I guess it should be submitted to
Sun. Since JRE1.5 seems to fix the problem, it may not be worth the effort.

It's a bug in the the SUN JRE Plugin/JVM -> wfm
Fell free to contact SUN about this (they also have a bug database) issue but I
think it makes no sense if this is already fixed.
