User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511

Installing extension doesn't work - Extension is installed but Mozilla won't boot.
But installing extension to program folder works.
I have tested this with two extensions.
1) Foxytunes - this gives option to install in profile or program folder
2) HTML Validator (based on Tidy) - No option. Install defaults to profile.

Foxutunes worked when installed to program folder.
Mozilla didn't boot when extension (any of above) installed in profile folder.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install an extension to profile folder (default for most extensions).
2. Restart Mozilla.
3. Install extension to program folder
4. Restart Mozilla.

Actual Results:
After 2nd step, mozilla doesn't start. One may have to delete compreg.dat and
chrome.rdf for making mozilla normal.
After 4th step, Mozilla starts properly and extension is working.

Expected Results:
After 2nd or 4th step Mozilla should start properly and extension should be
working. There should be no need to delete compreg.dat or chrome.rdf
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-ZA; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050607
Firefox/1.0+

I tried both foxytunes and HTML Validator.
Neither gave option of where to install. Just install now or cancel.
I checked under my profile folder and the foxytunes.jar file was there, but I
had no problems on restart of browser.
Could not get HTML validator installed properly, don't think it supports
versions higher than 1.0.

Sorry I forgot to specify that this is related to Mozilla 1.7.8 and not Firefox 1.0.
