This patch was provided by Apple. It stops us from loading ppc plugins on Intel Mac builds.

See bug 297600, which would be an ideal generic solution for this situation. Don't land the patch attached to this bug, because it would not be necessary with a patch for 297600, and it may be wrong anyway.
