User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050531 Firefox/1.0+
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050531 Firefox/1.0+

When I try to open this link
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/search.aspx?displaylang=en
I always gets: "Sorry, we are unable to show you the page you requested. Please
try again later."
but I can open one with FireFox 1.0.4 (linux/windows).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. try to open in DeerPark 1.1 alpha1 link (see in Details)
2. gets message (see in Details)
3. vote for this issue ;)

Actual Results:
I get empty message

Expected Results:
It should be MS downloads page

I had tried switch useragent from 1.0+ to 1.0 in about:config, but problem still
exist.
I check it with wget -U and I found
MS don't want see any char in version.
For example "rv:1.8" works, but "rv:1.8b" - none
I think it MS's website bug. sorry.

Using DeerPark and User Agent Switcher

If MS server is unable to identify your browser, you are able to see the
content. But if your browser looks like "bad one", server returns this message
(Sorry, we are unable to show you the page you requested. Please
try again later.).

Most time my UA string is nonsence (such as random strings) and it works :). But
if I set UA to "Mozilla/5.0 (X11/Gnome 2.10; U; Linux i686/K7-SMP; Kernel
2.6.11-1tc-k7-smp; en-US; rv:1.8b2; Ubuntu system) Gecko/20050531 Firefox/1.1a1
DeerPark", there is nothing except message I wrote above. Looks like "b" as beta
makes MS crazy :).

Anyway... I have no Window$ and no problems :)
"Mozilla/5.0 (X11/Gnome 2.10; U; Linux i686/K7-SMP; Kernel 2.6.11-1tc-k7-smp;
en-US; rv:1.8b2; Ubuntu system) Gecko/20050531 Firefox/1.1a1 DeerPark" breaks it
in two places, and it seems replacing the 'b' and 'a' respectively with 'x'
makes it work, so the guess at "beta software" seems to fit.
I believe MS have fixed the problem, and the fast stream of Reporter reports for
it stoped on the 21st. I can no longer reproduce the problem either. If no-one
else can, this is FIXED (or is it WFM? I don't know how you decide with TE bugs).

No, it's still dong this for me with Deer Park Alpha 2. "Sorry, we are unable
to show you the page you requested. Please try again later."
(In reply to comment #8)

Confirmed in a deer park trunk build from today that they give us the
unavailable message, but in the same build with a Firefox 1.0.6 ua string the
page is available.
