User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 For no reason Firefox started working much slower than just a few weeks ago, sometimes it crashes 1-3 and more times on initial program start. Uninstalling and reinstalling did not fix the problem. If this cannot be explained by a bug, I would suspect Microsoft is trying to undermine Firefox superiority to their IE by probably including some nusty code in their windows updates - is it possible? I have no choice but to use IE as Firefox does not work well anymore. I will try to fix it but please make sure MS does not interfere with your product because I support Firefox all 100%, I do not want to use IE! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Click on Firefox icon in quick start menu 2. 3. Actual Results: Firefox performed an illegal operation and will be closed, do you want to send the report to Microsoft Expected Results: Open Windows XP Professional
Sir, can you reproduce this bug using a fresh installation of the latest nightly build? It can be obtained at the following address. http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mozilla/nightly/latest-trunk/ Please see the Bug Writing Guidelines for help on how to provide the engineers with more information. Lacking further confirmation of this issue, this bug will probably be closed. Thanks!
