Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98)
Build Identifier:

I cannot browse with FireFox through Microsoft ISA server.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Microsoft ISA Firewall and configure it as a gateway to Internet.
2. Configure FireFox' connection settings as: Manual configuration; HTTP Proxy
to the IP address of ISA Server and Port Number as 8080
3. Try to browse a web site on Internet.

Actual Results:
The page cannot be displayed
There is a problem with the page you are trying to reach and it cannot be
displayed.

Please try the following:

    * Click the Refresh button, or try again later.
    * Open the Web site home page, and then look for links to the information
you want.
    * If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is
spelled correctly.
    * Verify that the Internet access policy on your network allows you to view
this this page.
    * If you believe you should be able to view this directory or page, please
contact the Web site administrator by using the e-mail address or phone number
listed on the Web site home page.

HTTP 407 Proxy Authentication Required - The ISA Server requires authorization
to fulfill the request. Access to the Web Proxy service is denied. (12209)
Internet Security and Acceleration Server

Technical Information (for support personnel)

    * Background:
The gateway could not retrieve the requested page.

    * ISA Server: email.enhan.com
      Via:

      Time: 6/10/2005 11:51:21 PM GMT

Expected Results:
The home page of the site should be displayed.

Since Internet Explorer gets authentication from Windows Domain Logon, we can
still use IE and browse through the Internet.

While I was using FireFox 1.0.2, an authentication window was popping up for
the ISA server.
is NTLM broken on the FF1.0.4 branch ?

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
