Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050611 Firefox/1.0+ Window Media Player 10.00.00.3646 The first time I visited rednova.com, I received a message about Windows Media Player and it recommending I restart Deer Park (I don't have the exact text). On subsequent visits, I get an icon for Smart Link 56K Modem in my tray, which luckily is inactive on my computer. Spybot reports no spyware.

Confirmed. When closing the tab for RedNova site, I also received an alert box stating that WMP.dll had created an error, and that I should close and restart Deer Park. Closed DPa1, then when I tried to restart I received the box stating that DeerPark was already running, to close the task with TaskManager. When I checked in the Taskmanager/Process tab .. there was the 'ghost/zombie' firefox.exe - > Killed that process and all started again normally. Deer park should have closed out from the error cleanly, thus preventing the on-going problem of firefox not closing, and folks having to constantly create new profiles. I realize this has been enhanced in DP/1.1 to point folks to the TaskManager, but Firefox should close, leaving no 'hung' processes.

This is WFM -- can either of you reproduce it? (rednova now redirects to redorbit, so maybe the content has changed significantly.) If remote WMP content can activate the modem that would seem to be a security flaw in WMP rather than Firefox.

Site's been changed, the new site doesn't exhibit this behaviour.
