After tracking it down, it crashes in nsGnomeShellService.cpp, due to some bug in nsIImage implementation. It seems that for all calls to GetAlphaBytesPerRow, GetAlphaData nsresult is not NS_OK Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
