User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.01; Windows NT 5.0)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0
With Symantec Web Security Proxy, the authentication with user/pass failed,
however with Netscape or Mozilla it's ok.
The same problem i've seen with IE and Google Toolbar installed, maybe there is
similar problem...
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Firefox
2. Authentication proxy trough Symantec Web Sec.
3. Login
Actual Results:
Invalid username or password.
(The login is correct)
Symantec Web Security Proxy use cookies for authentication.

What Mozilla version did you use to try?
Summary: Don't pass authentication proxy → Don't pass authentication proxy
Using Symantec I-Gear proxy server it's been a problem since pre-1.0. I'm
currently using DearPark - User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1;
en-GB; rv:1.8b3) Gecko/20050712 Firefox/1.0+) - on Windows and it seems better.
Usually authentication succeeds within two attempts.
I've just tested FireFox 1.0.1 on linux, and it took 61 resubmissions of same
authentication information before it worked!

Johan or Andrea, are you still seeing this problem using Firefox 2.0.0.3 with a clean profile?

Sorry, I can't check as I'm not using an I-Gear proxy server any more.

Johan, thanks for reporting back.
Andrea, if you're still able to reproduce this, please comment with info. Because of the lack of info (and the age of this bug), I'm going to close it as INCOMPLETE.
