Could you provide clearer steps to reproduce? > Steps to Reproduce: > 1. click bookmarks Where? The bookmarks menu? > 2. open a folder How? Hover over the menu? Click it? > 3. double-click in a bookmark inside of the folder Standard double clicking, or with the right button? It's not clear, since you mention "right button double-clicking" above.

Seing this as well, steps to reproduce: 1. expand bookmark menu 2. double right click a folder 3. note that contextmenu appears + the subfolder opens
Hello. Steps: 1º - Click the bookmark menu. 2º - Click on a folder of the bookmarks. (Such as "Bookmarks Toolbar Folder") 3º - Then right-click over a file of these folders. (For example "Windows" "windows Media" "Free Hotmail" etc) 4º - Instead show the contextmenu "Order By Name" etc... show a litle white box. 5º - Click anywhere in the navigator and the bookmark menu must close. 6º - Repeat steps 1º and 2º. You can´t do the step 3º because the menu don´t appear. IMPORTANT NOTE: I discover this bug in the PC where I work, in this PC I installed a few extensions: fireFTP 0.88.3, Greasemonkey 0.3.3, Disable Targets For Downloads 0.9, ColorZilla 0.8.2 and Quitomzilla 0.5. In my home PC I haven´t this extensions and when I followed the steps for cause the bug, it don´t happened. Once I saw that there isn´t bug, I installed the extensions above mentioned and the bug happened. ONE OF THIS EXTENSIONS CAUSE THE BUG.

If this bug is caused by an extension, then it's a bug from the extension and not Firefox, in which case you should contact the author of the extension about the bug. You should run Firefox in safe mode (having all the extensions you said) and see if the bug can be reproduced. If the bug can't be reproduced then it's an extension bug.
I have made what you said. I run Firefox (with the extensions) in safe mode and the bug still happen.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 WorksForMe Still, I'm a little confused by the steps to reproduce. There's supposed to be a double-right click at some point, right? On step 3 in comment #4 you only said right-click... did you mean double right-click? You also mentioned that in the context menu there's an item called "Order by Name". Is that from a bookmarks extension? Either way, which context menu are you talking about? The one that appears when right-clicking on a bookmark, the one that appears when right-clicking on a page or the one that appears when right-clicking on a toolbar?

(In reply to comment #7) > double-right click at some point, right? Yes, see comment 2, step, double-click very fast (before the submenu expands) on a folder that has a subfolder But I am now totally confused by comment 4. I can reproduce this bug with a fresh profile. Basically just double-right-click a folder very fast in the bookmark menu that also contains another folder. What will happen is that the contextmenu will appear + the subfolder will open.
It is indifferent if you double or no double right-click, if you right-click you can see the litle white box but if you double right-click it is so fast that you can´t see the litle white box. You must open the bookmarks menu and if doing right click on a bookmark you see a litle white box, THAT is the bug. What I mean before is do the same but with the links that show the bookmarks menus called "Bookmarks Toolbar Folder", "Fast Search", "Firefox and Mozilla Links", if you right-click on this links (those that "Bookmarks Toolbar Folder", "Fast Search", "Firefox and Mozilla Links" show), when you re-open the bookmarks menu and you try see this links, they don´t appear.

Then if I want re-open the same folder of bookmarks it show the icon of a open folder but without the links. If I close Firefox and re-open, the folder show the links correctly.
