User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4

Try to buy something from Dell.com. You must accept cookies from many domains to
purchase something. I accidently hit block to one of them and I had to reset
cookies to start over because I couldn't find it in my blocked domains list.

Solution:
Would you like to accept this cookie from accessories.dell.com?
[checkbox] Apply to all cookies from this domain
  [Allow] [Allow for Session] [Block]
(More options)
[checkbox] Apply to all cookies from dell.com and its subdomains
Note: you are currently blocking cookies from electronics.dell.com,
checking this box will stop blocking cookies from electroinics.dell.com

Reproducible: Always
Related to bug 217142?
Yes. However, that was an additional dialog, I'm proposing an extension to an
existing dialog via a "More options" triangle thing.
I second this request for per-(sub)domain cookie management.
Confirming as a valid RFE.

Ever confirmed: true
Actually achievable using the effective TLD service. This dialog's already pretty crazy with the UI, this wouldn't be that much worse.

That said, you can just add dell.com to Allowed Sites in the exceptions list and get this behaviour.
Summary: Allow/block cookies for domain and all subdomains at once → Allow/block cookies for domain and all subdomains at once from accept dialog
Target Milestone: --- → Future
I recommend against further efforts here and propose wontfix. If we do anything with cookie opting, it should be simplification.
