Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 After selecting a row in the password manager and then sorting the passwords according to one of the headers (i.e. Site, Username, Password) the selection (i.e. highlighted row) stays in the same place spatially instead of sticking to the selected URL/username/password. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select 'Tools'->'Options', then 'Privacy' and 'View Saved Passwords'. 2. Highlight a row in the display. 3. Sort the passwords by clicking on a header (Site, Username, or Password) Actual Results: The 'selected' row happens to be whatever was in the same place before the sort (i.e. fifth entry from the top) Expected Results: The selection should stay constant (i.e. password for bugzilla.mozilla.org should be highlighted both before and after sorting).
Reproducible with Mozilla 1.8b1, Mozilla 1.8b2/20050613 and Deer Park a1.
This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter. Still there I think...
Yes, also reproducible with SeaMonkey 1.0a and Firefox 1.5b1.

I'm not sure that this bug is a dup of bug 318220. That one is about the password manager not remembering which column it was last sorted by, while this one is saying that when you select a row and select by a different column, the viewport of the window doesn't move to track the selected row, but stays where it was. I certainly see this behaviour in Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.17) Gecko/20080829 MultiZilla/1.8.3.5i SeaMonkey/1.1.12 although I don't know if XPFE uses the same password manager as Toolkit.
