I'm in group by mode (for example date) and I select a message. After that I
click on a column to sort the message after subject. Now the selected message
isn't selected anymore and I must search it in my inbox.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to inbox
2. Press G to look message in group by date mode
3. select one message
4. click on the subject column to sort the message by subject

Actual Results:
The selected message isn't selected anymore.

Expected Results:
The message should still be selected.

clarify summary - the message is not shown as selected in thread pane

same message is still displayed in message pane, as if the message had focus in thread pane, but thread pane is wrong.
Summary: selecting a message in group by mode and then sorting causes the selected item to go off-screen → selecting a message in group by mode and then sorting unselects message and goes off-screen
Version: unspecified → Trunk

would be cool if thread pane scrolled to show current selection, like folder pane now does when changing tabs (scrolls to folder location)

still see this with trunk.
