Generally, I have made very good experience with mozilla 1.7.X on Windows XP and
Linux. However, on one of my P4 HP pavilion machines the mozilla browser window
is completely unuseful after a successfully installation on Windows XP. The
problems is that the main frame and all subframes appear as boxes which are
surounded by red and blue curved lines with a few readable items of text! All
other applications work fine including IE, Mozilla Firefox but also Mozilla
1.8.aX. I should mention that before installation I fully de-installed previous
versions of Mozilla.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Installation

The usual Mozilla web browser window.
You enabled debug Xul boxes in the debug settings.
Try to disable it in the preferences UI, remove the entry with "xul.debug.box"
in Profile\prefs.js or create a new profile.

Do you think That I am joking???
Hi,

Sorry I hadn't fully read the comments. Indeed your "xul.debug.box" hint did the
trick!! I had problems connecting to the internet therefore my answer only now.

Case closed. Thanks again and my apologies again about my ignorance concerning
reading the bug solution properly...
