How close is gem-RO-saxon to de? There are a few questions that arise out of this,
wrt to organisation with Abdulkadir on the one hand, and with stuff like being
able to use german localisations of extensions on the other hand.

Have you started with the localisation yet? As we'll register a l10n project once
a submitted source code of the l10n has passed a review.

week and would like to get a grip on the candidates for new locales by then.

Why "gem-RO-saxon" and not "de-RO-saxon"? As I understand, this is a dialect of German (ISO 639.1: de), not a separate Germanic (ISO 639.2: gem) language, right?

I can't find the locale code mentioned anywhere, is this Saechsisch? If so, is it even codified and do we really take dialects?
