The problem does not affect IE.  Uninstalling and reinstalling the latest build
of firefox has not helped.

images do not display

Expected Results:  
images should display

default theme.
Is "For the originating web site only" checked in Tools->Options->Web Features ?

That is the most common cause of problems like these.
Resolving as invalid per reporter email, the check box was in fact checked.
