User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 In the page attt http://www.truetension.com, firefox cannot load the embedded jpg image and concomitant to this problem, the hard disk churns for a very long time. Eventually, the web page finishes loading, but then whenever one presses a key, firefox recommences attempting to load the jpg image again. Problem is iterative, thus, Firefoxe application is no longer usable and must be shut down. Problem does not appear in Win2000 or WinXP. Failure occurs in two different machines running Win98se. Perhaps there is a problem in the interface between firefox and Win98's jpg rendering API.??? Note, the offensive web page is using a very large jpg file (346 kb) and the browser/OS is to resize this image down to fit the appropriate desktop resolution. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Load Firefox 1.04 onto Win98se 2.go to www.truetension.com 3.cannot load image and firefox cannot be used Actual Results: image fails to load (render) and firefox is henceforth unusable, hung, she no workie ne more. Expected Results: rendered the jpg to the scale appropriate for the resolution of the desketop gui environment. using sun's java runtime engine

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter.
