Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050622 Firefox/1.0+
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050622 Firefox/1.0+

The download does not start when left-clicking a link to download. Instead it
gives this error message
----
"C:\documents and settings\<username>\LOCALS~1\Temp\lowm5i15.exe could not be
saved, because the source file could not be read. Try again later, or contact
the server administrator."
----

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Browse to
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/tinderbox-builds/pacifica-trunk/
2. Left-Click on the exe installer

Actual Results:
The error message mentioned before appeares

Expected Results:
The download manager should have popped up

Reproducible using Pacifica Hourly build (around 2:59 AM 22/06/05)

I think isolated the problem:

With a clean profile, run Firefox and:
Tools > Options > Privacy > Sanitize Settings > "check" Sanitize Deer Park on
shutdown > Ok > Ok

Now close Firefox... Re-open it, go to any web and try to download any file by
clicking directly the link...

"C:\documents and settings\<username>\LOCALS~1\Temp\<file> could not be
saved, because the source file could not be read..."

The only way to download a file is right clicking the link and "Save link as..."

I see this behavior in the latest hourly Pacifica builds since Firefox/1.0+
ID:2005062106 till now...
happens for me using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8b2)

i see the same in Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8b2)
Gecko/20050621 Firefox/1.0+ ID:2005062119
The following shows up in JavaScript Console.

Error: uncaught exception: Permission denied to get property RegExp.constructor

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050622
Firefox/1.0+ ID:2005062206
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050622
Firefox/1.0+ ID:2005062205

Confirming. I saw this last night and I didn't have Sanitize on shutdown
enabled. So there must be multiple ways to reproduce.
