this is not really a bug, however I think a cool add on feature for sunbird
would be a way to tab through different calender files.  I would love to be able
to separate my business calender from my personal calender.  one way i was
thinking of doing this is with tabs.  you can add tabs above the toolbar that
specify "all" "personal" and "buisiness", with the user bein given the ability
to add/delete/modify tabs.  clicking on the business tab would give me all the
options I specified for my business calender file. when i click the all i would
also be able to see all tabs file in one session.  i really think this would
give sunbird flexablilty and organization between files.  if someone could also
relay this tabbed idea to the thunderbird team.  I would love to get a business
and a personal tab option up for thunderbird too.  I have 2 personal email/3
newsgroups, as well as 1 business email and 1 newsgroup and it gets very messy
in thunderbird trying to make sure ur sending an email from the correct email
and such.  thanks for your time and you guys do amazing work.  keep it up.

If I understand this correctly, then a similar, if less complex, version of 
this was made with Bug 255180. Personally, I don't really feel like tabs are 
intuitively the right way to separate this kind of data.  Since the 
month/multiweek/week/day views wouldn't really change, just the data in them, 
placing each data set a different tab doesn't seem quite right.  This goes 
double for the task list, since it would really even be under the tab (if it's 
placed where I think it would be).

Also, please file a separate thunderbird bug if you'd like to submit a similar 
request to them.  Multi-tasking on bugs leads to confusion/trouble.

This bug might actually regain interest, due to the tabbing concept in thunderbird 3. I think this should be taken care of in bug 266166 or a new bug.
